**Lower Primary Learning Pack for Science

Created in conjunction with a Primary School Teacher, this pack is the perfect resource for parents to use to practice and develop Early Primary Science skills at home.

Includes:

Senses Book – ideal for identifying and classifying a variety of objects by the five senses - sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch. Identify and classify a variety of objects by secondary and tertiary senses e.g. cheese can be smelled, but can also be touched and tasted!

Mirrors – place the mirrors into water, then add flowers or leaves from the garden. Compare the image in the reflection when the water is still and when its slightly moving.

Tweezers – These easy grip tweezers will help your child develop their pincer grasp. Go into the garden and find some small stones, or use beads.

Petri Dishes – Single bacteria is something that is all around, yet cannot be seen with the naked eye. Take some food items from your fridge, scrape a small amount onto the lid of the dish. Leave them for a few days, see what happens! Try with different types of food. (Keep away from reach of small children)

Plastic Scoops – using your plastic scoop, measure out a level full of rice, cereal, and sugar etc.

Dry erase Weights and Measures – Learning weights and measures, in both metric and imperial, are excellent life skills for your child. These can be applied to everyday activities such as cooking and baking.
